Fit Family Swimming training ends after eight weeks
The Fit Family Swim training ended today after eight weeks.
Parents and children praised the training, which was held at California’s Mills College, in Oakland.
The training was tailored for families who wanted to get healthier and more active. At least one parent was required to attend, and parents were welcome to swim too. In addition to swimming training, the families received instructions on the importance of nutrition and regular exercise.
Endurance – A Sports and Psychology Center (ESPC) organized the training, which was sponsored by the Healthy Hearts Program at Children's Hospital Oakland. Endurance Center staff, led by Endurance Director, Dr. Cory Nyamora, and Mills College swimming coaches supervised the training.
Dr. Nyamora is a certified US coach in Track & Field as well as Triathlon. He is also a psychologist. His organization is involved in various programs intended to keep families fit and healthy. The programs include biking, running, swimming and triathlon.
