BUSINESS MANAGER

Wade Meyer is the Business Manager at Endurance – A Sports & Psychology Center, Inc. With experience primarily in the nonprofit world, Wade brings program management support to Endurance, helping to expand the programs Endurance offers. He has worked with nonprofit programs providing services to homeless and low-income people, LGBTQ mental health treatment, sexual and gender-based violence support services, and other community support programs. He has also developed curriculum for cultural competence in a variety of settings. He enjoys running for exercise but doesn’t identify as a runner. As the husband of an endurance athlete, he also enjoys cooking hearty, healthy meals, and sharing his love of cooking with friends and family.

Trainings and Workshops

Wade also offers trainings and workshops about sexual and gender identity & expression in a variety of settings, including mental health, community organizations, and religious/faith communities.

He has more than 10 years of experience working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTIQ) people and communities in a range of service contexts. With a background in international studies and women’s studies, he is trained as a pastoral counselor. He has been a service provider, program manager, volunteer, and case manager with organizations that serve LGBTIQ people across the lifespan, including refugees and asylees, seniors, young adults, and others. He has benefited from countless individuals who have shared their stories and helped him understand the many ways LGBTIQ-identified people experience their lives. Wade has provided training in working with LGBTIQ people to multiple mental health, community-based, and faith-based organizations. His interactive workshops are designed to encourage honest conversations and reflection while providing concrete recommendations in how to be supportive to LGBTIQ people.
