Kenya-born US coach to offer half marathon training

Kenya is a producer of natural long distance runners. The United States produces the best coaches for most sports. A US coach and clinical psychologist, a product of both Kenya and the United States, is to offer half-marathon training in California. The coach, Dr. Cory Nyamora, was born in Kenya and educated and trained in the United States.

He is a certified USA Triathlon coach, USA Track and Field Coach and licensed Clinical Psychologist. He is the owner and director of Endurance – A Sports and Psychology Center, Inc. The center provides sports opportunities, outdoor adventures and psychotherapy for children, adults and families.

“I am committed to helping individuals and families find fun ways to stay fit and active,” says Dr. Nyamora.

Dr. Nyamora yesterday held an information session on the half-marathon training program, the Endurance’s Half-Marathon Training Team. He says the training will be fun “for adults who want to have fun, get fit and be around a healthy community.” After 12 weeks of training they will participate in a California half-marathon.

During yesterday’s information session, Dr. Nyamora discussed the training philosophy, program, gear, and how to join the half-marathon adventure. The information session was held at Dr. Nyamora’s office, at 2000 Hearst Ave. #205, Berkeley, CA. 94709.
