Mental skills presentation for Oakland marathon youth

Coach Cory Nyamora had the pleasure of presenting a mental skills preparation talk to over 100 kids and teens on Saturday March 16th. The youth are preparing to run the 5K and half marathon at the Oakland Running Festival this coming Sunday. Dr. Nyamora was so inspired to see this huge population of young people who are driven and active and he also ran with the youngest half-marathoner he'd ever met.

He primarily gave tips on race week preparation and how to use mental skills tools such as visualization, affirmations, goal-setting, focus and having fun.

If you get a chance go and check out the race and cheer on all the participants especially those young ones who are racing for the first time! If you'd like a mental skills/race preparation talk for your group contact us
