Pius Nyamora has been in journalism for about 40 years. During that period, Pius has worked as a radio producer, a daily newspaper reporter, a publisher and editor of a weekly newsmagazine, a publications coordinator for the international, Washington-based, National Endowment for Democracy. He has also taught Intercultural Communication as well as Mass Media and Society at the University of Tampa, in Florida.

Pius began his journalism career in Kenya in 1973. He was the country’s 1985 Columnist of the Year and a Reporter of the Year in 1984 while a senior political reporter at the Nation Media Group.

Pius holds a Master of International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University, In Washington, DC. and an MA in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of South Florida.
