Neil Virtue - Triathlon Coach
Neil Virtue was a four-year varsity student athlete at the University of Washington. In 1995 while in Seattle he started his coaching career and has been coaching ever since. His coaching has taken him to Club and High School coaching in Arizona and Montana.
Then he was a graduate assistant coach for the University of Missouri in Columbia Missouri for the 2000-2001 academic year. Since 2001 he has been the head swimming coach at Mills College in Oakland, CA.
While at Mills he not only coaches the swimming team but also teaches beginning, intermediate and fitness swimming classes to the general student body.
His coaching spans a broad range from NCAA National Qualifiers, to Masters swimmers, to teaching children as well as adults.
Working with people is one of his greatest joys and swimming is the vehicle to allow him to do that.
