Caelev Stephan, Psychology Trainee
Supervised by Dr. Cory Nyamora.
Caelev Stephan is a 3rd-year Psy.D. student at California Northstate University, College of Psychology. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List six consecutive semesters for academic excellence.
Caelev brings a grounded, empathetic, and strength-based approach to his work with children, teens, and young adults. He currently trains at the White House Counseling Center, supporting students in school-based settings who are navigating trauma, emotional regulation challenges, and behavioral concerns. His work focuses on building trust, helping clients feel heard, and guiding them in developing the skills they need to feel more confident, calm, and in control of their lives.
Growing up, Caelev was an athlete and understands the pressures that come with balancing performance, identity, and mental wellness. He played basketball and football throughout high school and continues to be an active weightlifter. As a child, he also earned his first-degree black belt in taekwondo—an experience that shaped his belief in discipline, perseverance, and the mind-body connection.
Clients often appreciate Caelev’s down-to-earth style and his ability to meet them where they’re at. He believes that every person brings a powerful story, and that therapy should be a space where people can explore that story safely and openly. Caelev is passionate about supporting young people through life’s tough moments—whether that’s navigating family stress, school pressures, self-esteem issues, or big transitions—and helping them discover their own resilience and potential.
