Mental health resources for Black people trying to cope right now
What a heavy time for us all. I was in the process of writing a blog for Black people who are coping with all that’s going on in the U.S. right now, but in the process I found two useful articles with tons of resources. Please read 44 mental health resources for black people trying to survive in this country and 13 Mental Health resources for black people trying to cope right now.
Please take care of yourselves and each other. Remember that you are precious, you are loved and you are valuable, no matter what the outside messages may be. Prioritize your health, your sanity and your life. Even as you protest or fight for change on the streets or in your daily life, know that you are needed here, in this life. Be with loved ones and reach out to your family, friends and community. Be reminded that you are not alone and be surrounded by love and care. We will survive and thrive.
Also please call us at 510-981-1471 if you need other resources and if you are mental health provider looking for employment and can serve the Black Community competently please check out our job posting.
