Don’t wait for your sabbatical

A few months ago, my partner and I decided that we needed a sabbatical and within months we were able to organize, self-fund and make a four-month (non-work related) sabbatical happen. We travelled, both domestically and internationally- visiting 15 different cities/towns and enjoying our time away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

As a clinician in private practice and a business owner, this was nerve wracking to imagine and plan.  Figuring out how to put “regular life” on hold and planning all details took some considerable patience and effort.

However, it was a necessary and worthwhile endeavor, to have, for the first time in our lives, complete downtime without any agenda.  We were able to do what we wanted every single day and decide day by day. The largest gift was being able to be in environments that were different from our daily lives so we could reflect, think outside the box and re-set our priorities and goals.

Because of the value I got from this experience, I’d love to help you plan your much-needed sabbatical.

We will focus on:

1)   The first steps you need to take

2)   How much money you need

3)   What to do with your current life & work obligations

4)   Planning your itinerary
