Endurance Runners show strong performance at San Jose Half Marathon
Runners, trained by Endurance-a Sports and Psychology Center, were among the roughly 10,000 competitors who took part in a successful Half Marathon competition held in San Jose, California, yesterday.
There was jubilation at Endurance-a Sports and Psychology Center following great success of its runners at the San Jose Half Marathon on October 2. All the Endurance runners who took part in the competition completed the event.
The race attracted about 10,000 US and international runners. The excitement at Endurance is best captured by the mail to the runners from the Director, Dr. Cory Nyamora, who had coached the runners for 12 weeks.

Dear Half-Marathon Runners!!
Congratulations! You are all so amazing! I’ve had 12 wonderful weeks coaching all of you and I’m basking in the excitement of it all. First off, congratulations to our DC distance runners for an excellent rainy hilly run on October 1st . I’m so proud of you for completing it successfully and happily and sticking to all your training from a distance! I wish I could have been there to see your smiling faces, but I enjoyed hearing about it and look forward to more details. You were an inspiration to me and to our local runners who heard about your victory last night.
As for our local runners, today was an amazing day. I, and the rest of the Endurance crew, were privileged to be part of such a beautiful day. It was great to see you accomplish this momentous goal. You looked beautiful, strong and positive.
You ran strong and steady and finished with big smiles. You are such great runners! And you all looked like you could have ran many more miles at the end.
What a great accomplishment! Words don’t do justice to what you did today.
So, here’s what you have to do today – rest, stretch, eat, hydrate and bask in the glory of completing this goal. Write about it – many times endurance runners (like you!) write a race journal – just a brief write-up of your experience in the run today. It’s good to do it now when it’s fresh in your mind. So take some notes, send the journal and photos to us and your friends and family. Remember, not everyone does this and not everyone trains and completes events like this. So congratulate yourselves, take time to rejuvenate, don’t think about the next event just yet - enjoy and be in the moment.
We’ll celebrate soon! You are half-marathoners, endurance runners and a great group of people. Thanks for the privilege of coaching you.
Congratulations.
Cory
